The technology of cold gas-dynamic spraying is intended for applying powder coatings of metals (Al, Zn, Cu, Fe, Ti, Ni, Co, etc.), alloys (bronze, brass, stainless steel, etc.), powder mixtures, including with non-metals, polymers, etc. on metal and dielectric products, including ceramics and glass, as well as compaction of new materials. Coating is carried out by a high-speed stream of “cold” powder particles, accelerated by a supersonic gas stream at a temperature substantially lower than the melting temperature of the particle material.
